FAQ & Troubleshooting
Answers to common questions and troubleshooting advice for server owners using AerosPearls.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can players use the Trajectory Visualizer without mods?
Yes! The trajectory prediction is rendered 100% server-side using native particle packets. Players running a vanilla client will see the trajectory line smoothly while holding an ender pearl.
Does AerosPearls support older Minecraft 1.8.8 servers?
Yes. AerosPearls is compiled to Java 8 bytecode and maintains cross-version compatibility for Spigot 1.8.8 up to Paper 1.20+.
How does the Anti-Glitch engine differ from vanilla?
Vanilla Minecraft calculates pearl collisions based on single-point ray casts, which frequently clip players into non-full blocks (like slabs, closed fence gates, or stairs). AerosPearls uses a 3D bounding box projection (AABB) of the player's full collision volume (0.6 x 1.8 x 0.6) before initiating any teleportation.
What happens if the server lags during a pearl throw?
If the server's tick rate drops below the configured minimum-tps (default: 17.5 TPS), the teleport is safely cancelled, the pearl is restored to the player's inventory, and their cooldown is cleared.
