Installation

Requirements

Paper 1.20.4 or newer, up to 1.21.11
Java 17 or newer

Warden has no hard dependencies. It boots and runs with none of the optional plugins present.

Steps

Drop Warden-<version>.jar into plugins/.
Start the server once. Warden writes its full configuration tree into plugins/Warden/.
Stop the server, edit whatever you need, and start again.

Storage

Set storage.type in config.yml to yaml, sqlite or mysql.

yaml writes one file per clan under plugins/Warden/storage/clans/.
sqlite writes plugins/Warden/warden.db.
mysql connects to the configured server and creates a warden_clans table.

JDBC drivers are downloaded by Paper at startup through the libraries block of plugin.yml, so they are not bundled inside the jar. The server needs internet access on its first boot for SQLite or MySQL to work.

There is no migration tool between backends yet. Pick one before your clans start filling up.
